ICR Hires Timothy Kane to Lead Digital Branding Practice

New York, NY – October 17, 2016 – ICR, a leading strategic communications and advisory firm, today announced the appointment of Timothy Kane as Managing Director and head of the firm’s Digital Branding practice. In this role, he will oversee ICR’s growing digital and creative services for clients.

“Tim has provided creative leadership for some of the world’s best-known brands,” said Tom Ryan, CEO of ICR. “Our clients are increasingly looking for digital and creative services and we look forward to integrating his unique expertise with our strategic communications teams. This will strengthen our position as a trusted advisor on all facets of brand identity and reputation management with both private and public companies.”

Kane brings extensive creative, branding and marketing experience, in both corporate and agency roles, from virtually every discipline in traditional, digital, social and experiential media. As Managing Director, he will leverage that expertise to further enhance ICR’s ability to help its clients transform themselves for success in today’s digital marketplace.

“These days, every business is a digital business,” said Kane. “Whether it’s a global corporation or your neighborhood pizza joint, every business has to interact with its customers and other stakeholders and manage its reputation through a combination of digital, mobile and social experiences.”

Prior to joining ICR, Kane was the founding partner of the branding practice at Makovsky + Company, one of the nation’s top independent public relations firms, where he was responsible for defining and designing the brand infrastructures for the firm’s financial, pharmaceutical, technology and media clients. He has since held the role of Chief Marketing Officer at YouGov, the global data and political polling firm. Previously, Kane served as an award-winning copywriter and creative director at a number of advertising agencies, including Ogilvy & Mather, DDB, Young & Rubicam, J. Walter Thompson, Ammirati & Puris and McCann Erickson.

Mr. Kane also contributes his time and talents to the public sector, spearheading initiatives for the U.S. Department of State, the City of New York, the City of Chicago, and several major universities. He will be based in ICR’s Connecticut office.
