IR Magazine tapped ICR CEO Tom Ryan for insight following the release of its IR Magazine Global Practice Report 2012, which found that more companies today are looking for outside counsel for global IR departments. Tom noted that today’s volatile capital markets have led IR officers to open up to the benefits of outside assistance, explaining that an outside counselor can be an invaluable source of objective insight when dealing with an activist shareholder or crisis situation.
