New York, NY – November 3, 2016 – ICR, a leading strategic communications and advisory firm, today announced the appointment of agency veteran Scott Tangney as Managing Director. Tangney will focus on several sectors including corporate, financial and professional services as well as building materials and home builders. In his role, he will counsel and service clients while supporting ICR’s growth in new areas and capitalizing on the firm’s high quality investor relations offering.
With over two decades of corporate communications and public relations experience, Tangney brings a proven track record as a top strategist in corporate reputation, top-tier media relations, integrated programs, launches, IPOs, crisis and issues management and special situations. His corporate positioning and thought leadership campaigns have won more than a dozen public relations and innovation awards in the past five years. In 2014, Tangney was named Financial/IR Communications Professional of the Year by Bulldog Reporter and was additionally selected for the PRWeek Financial Roundtable. He also authors articles on corporate reputation issues that regularly appear in industry journals and digital outlets, and his expert commentary is frequently quoted by national media.

He is a graduate of Bowling Green State University earning a Bachelor of Arts degree.
