Senior Vice President, Convertible & Equity Derivatives Advisory
Matt is a Senior Vice President at ICR Capital and a member of its Convertible & Equity Derivatives Advisory team. Matt advises boards and management teams on structuring and executing convertible debt transactions, convertible preferred and mandatory offerings, structured share repurchases, capped calls and call spreads, hedging and monetization strategies (including collars, variable prepaid forwards, margin loans, etc), and warrant management solutions.
Matt joined ICR Capital after four years at Barclays where he was a Vice President in the Equity Linked & Financing Solutions group. At Barclays, Matt worked with companies and sponsors across industry verticals to advise on, structure, and execute convertible capital raises, equity derivatives, share repurchases, and monetization strategies. In aggregate, Matt has helped his clients raise over $25bn in capital and execute over $40bn in equity derivatives.
Prior to joining Barclays, Matt was at Columbia University where he earned his Ph.D. in Physics working on the search for dark matter using the largest detector at the time, XENON1T. Matt received his undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Notre Dame where he graduated cum laude. After almost a decade in New York, Matt now lives with his wife and son in Connecticut.
