Jake Noone

Vice President

Jake is a member of ICR’s Special Situations Group. In this role, Jake develops and executes strategic communications plans for clients related to shareholder activism, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, Chapter 11 bankruptcies, short selling, executive transitions, and regulatory investigations.

Prior to joining ICR, Jake was most recently the Interim Chief Financial Officer and Director at SpringOwl Asset Management LLC – an activist hedge fund – where he was a member of the Investment and Operating Committees as well as supported the CEO on fundraising and marketing initiatives, research and investment ideas, and assisting with white paper production. He was also a Law Clerk in the Activist & Equity Investment Practice of the leading activist law firm Olshan Frome Wolosky LLP, where he drafted governance vulnerability memos for activist hedge funds by analyzing target companies’ bylaws, charters, and proxy statements and assessed what strategy an activist can utilize against a company.

He started his career as an Analyst in Houlihan Lokey’s M&A Group as a member of its Activist Shareholder Advisory Practice where he drafted white papers and vetted potential director nominees, analyzed ISS and Glass Lewis reports to determine governance vulnerabilities of potential target companies, and developed activist vulnerability assessments for the banks’ clients.

Jake received his B.S. in Business Administration from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business and his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law.
